Chief Operating Officer
Luis Gutierrez brings over 30 years of experience in IT and has managed several large scale, global IT organizations for companies like The Boeing Company and Deutsche Bank.
Prior to joining Data Dynamics, Luis worked for Deutsche Bank as the CTO for the America’s region where he focused on several major company deliverables program including a major Data Center consolidation effort along with a significant program focused on deploying security tools that helped enhance the security posture for the company.
At the Boeing Company, Luis was responsible for managing the global infrastructure environment for the Boeing Company where the IT systems were leveraged significantly to support the design and build of Boeing airplanes and programs.
Chief Technology Officer
Helen is a multifaceted transformation executive and innovator with over 25+ Years’ Experience in the Financial Services industry. She is a leader of transformation and partnerships that drive technical innovation, encourage and create collaboration opportunities, and facilitate change throughout an organization.
Prior to joining Data Dynamics, Helen held the role of CDO for Corporate Systems at AIG as well as the CIO for Data Science. In those two roles, she defined and drove corporate data strategy, operationalization models, application and risk management platforms, global transition and technology projects within the Corporate Systems space. She worked with the Data Science team to partner with innovative startups as both potential partners and mentors. This is where she got involved with various VCs in the NYC area to become an advisor and board members to the startup community focused predominantly on companies in the Analytics and Data space.
Previous to AIG, Helen held the position of Global Technical Director for Eikon at Thomson Reuters. At RBS she held the following positions during her career there: Head of Risk Technologies Americas, Head of Syndicate Technologies Americas, Head of Counterparty Exposure Americas at RBS, Credit Risk Technology Americas.
Helen started her career at FactSet Data System as a Software Engineer. This is where she learned the value of customer engagement and developed a passion for understanding the business needs and being able to translate their needs into a product thru the utilization of technologies. She is committed to developing platforms that enhances the lives of the business by providing tools that allow them to execute and deliver more efficiently and quickly as well as give them better insight into what’s happening in their world through the analytics of data.
Helen holds a BA degree from Cornell University in Computer Science and Economics.
Chief Strategy Officer
Cuong Le brings over 20 years of information technology experience in enterprise infrastructure sales, marketing, and development. He brings his experience in storage, server, and systems management to his role as Senior Vice President of Field Operations for Data Dynamics. Prior to joining Data Dynamics, Cuong was the Executive Director of Enterprise Technical Sales at Lenovo, where he was responsible for leading the world wide technical sales community for the Lenovo Enterprise Business Group. Prior to his role at Lenovo, he was the Director of Worldwide x86 and Pure Systems Technical Sales at IBM and was responsible for transitioning the IBM x86 technical sales organization to Lenovo as part of Lenovo’s acquisition of the IBM x86 business. As the technical sales leader, he developed the technical sales team’s capacity, capability, and competency in driving sales execution, collaboration and innovation with clients.
Cuong held a diverse series of technical and management assignments at IBM. He worked in product development as a product architect and manager responsible for delivering storage and systems management products. In his role in development, he was awarded 17 patents. He was in a technical sales management and leadership role for 8 years, where he was certified as a Distinguished IT Specialist.
He earned a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Arizona.
Chief Information Officer
John McGeever brings over 20 years of information technology experience in the defense, financial, OEM and software industries to his role as VP for Data Dynamics.
Prior to joining Data Dynamics, John was VP of Product Management for SANpulse Technologies, where he was integral in the design and implementation of the companies storage migration product strategy and roadmap. He has experience in various aspects of the product development process, including software specifications, testing and validation, technical documentation, user training, and product support. John also focused on storage area network technologies during his employment with Lehman Brothers, McData and Brocade. He has held various technical and management positions throughout his career including System Analyst at Grumman Data Systems, DVP Manager of Unix Systems at PaineWebber, VP Manager of Data Center Systems Administration at Merrill Lynch and Project Manager at JPMorgan Chase & Co.
John received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from St. John’s University in Queens, NY.
Chief Revenue Officer
Peter is a data-driven technology sales & operations leader. Peter is a well-known technology industry leader who is focused on driving customer productivity, business strategy, and financial optimization. He has built successful teams to effectively grow the business of both start-ups and turn-around situations, and he maintains an enduring track record in enterprise software, hardware, cloud, and data center sales. Peter has assembled and managed highly productive world-class organizations to meet and exceed goals across a variety of sales and business operations measurements. Before joining Data Dynamics, Peter was a Global VP at Veritas. Prior to that, he served in many worldwide sales, alliances, and customer operations leadership roles, where he successfully drove sales and cloud revenue.
Most recently, Peter held a newly created role within Veritas as VP of Global Cloud Alliances & GTM Strategies with the goal of driving success through a focus on Cloud growth strategies. He was responsible for calibrating and building long-term and strategic relationships with Veritas’ key Global Cloud Alliance Partners, including Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Peter’s team facilitated the development of strategic go-to-market cloud strategies to be executed globally within the direct sales organization and across the Veritas channel ecosystem, with the common goal of driving “Sell-With” revenue. Throughout his career, Peter has leveraged his strengths and over two decades of experience to strategically develop and grow sales for numerous organizations. He was employed at F5 Networks, where he was successful in building and driving an enterprise global accounts program, inclusive of a highly effective direct field sales organization. Peter has held senior sales leadership positions for companies including IO Data Centers (acquired by Iron Mountain), Symantec, and EMC.
Peter is a Co-Founder and Trustee of Liam’s Room, a not-for-profit 501c(3) charitable foundation, which was started to honor his late son, Liam’s legacy. Liam’s Room partners with hospitals to provide Pediatric Palliative Care rooms and services for the families of chronically and/or terminally ill children. He has also sat on numerous not-for-profit boards, where he believes there is important work to be done. Peter holds a Master’s Degree from New York University and a Bachelor’s Degree from Manhattanville College, Purchase, NY. He currently resides in Phoenix, AZ.
Chief Executive Officer
Piyush has over 25 years of entrepreneurial experience, with the past 20 focused in software and technology services. Currently Piyush serves as CEO and a Board Member of Data Dynamics, Inc., a company he founded in 2012. Piyush is committed to building software solutions that drive value for his customers. He believes that a customer-centric focus is a must, and thus builds an internal team culture with a “customer-first” mindset.
This customer-centric focus has allowed Data Dynamics to have 25 percent of the Fortune 100 companies as its customers, as well as 12 of the world’s top 20 banks.
He is passionate about business start-ups, and loves the rollercoaster ride that comes with it as well as the challenges inherent to it. Piyush believes a start-up team becomes a family as they spend more waking hours together.
This has helped develop a culture that inspires and rewards creativity and unity within the organization. Further, such a sense of belonging and commitment with each team member becomes core to business success.
In addition, Piyush is focused on driving balance sheet value for his shareholders, while ensuring that the company is efficient with its capital. This has allowed him to build organizations with “boot-strap” funding, relying on organic sales to help drive growth rather than a constant dependence on external funding.
Often called the “Dean of Data,” Piyush has established alliances and partnerships with key industry leaders within the data management field. His extensive global experience includes areas such as business strategy, treasury and finance, investor relations, acquisitions and divestitures, and operations.
Danny O’Connor brings Data Dynamics over 35 years of technology experience from the financial services sector to his role as Field CTO. His career has predominantly been running Global Data Centres and Infrastructures for various banks, namely Bankers Trust, Deutsche Bank, Merrill Lynch, Bank of America and ING.
In these roles he managed all aspects of technology services provision and operations. The responsibilities included operational resilience, cost reductions and efficiencies, regulatory compliance, technology risk management, and a number of Data Centre consolidation, build, and migration programs.
Danny moved into the consulting world in 2014 and has successfully helped many companies and people with his knowledge and sharing of experiences, most recently at Virtual Clarity in a role as Primary Storyteller.
Chief Financial Officer
Shelly joined Data Dynamics as CFO in June 2021. He brings 20 years of experience in Finance. Prior to joining Data Dynamics, he worked as CFO for a seed-stage technology company and as an Investor across private credit, private equity, and public equities before that.
During his investment career, Shelly has worked closely with multi-functional teams to develop detailed operating models, strategic plans and evaluate prospective M&A transactions. In addition, he has evaluated business and financial strategy across a variety of public companies in the Internet and Consumer sectors. He has demonstrated the ability to dig deep and also pull back to evaluate/develop a strategy.
Shelly completed his MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College in ’07, where he graduated as an Edward Tuck Scholar. His past work experience includes investment banking with Credit Suisse (via DLJ) in Los Angeles.
